PromoSlam 4 was twenty-third Max Wrestling Podcast special, and fourth under the PromoSlam chronology, it was also the 230th episode of Max Wrestling Podcast. The event was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously and featured regulars The B****** and Mike Larkin, plus special guest including Emir "BlackBane" Costello. The show also featured promos from Robert Davis, The Walker, Moni Lynn and Luis.

The B****** defended his Promo Championship for the first time, against both finalists of the first annual King Of The Mic tournament and The Walker, which was won by Mike Larkin.

The Knowledge Championship was also be defended by Larkin against Costello, as Larkin retained, he later became the first Max Wrestling double champion when he won the Promo Championship. Courtney Summers was also scheduled to challenge but was unable to appear.

The battle for control of RWT was finally settled between the "Kingpin" Emir Costello, Evolution of Pro Wrestling's Luis. During the bout, Moni Lynn bowed out and gave her full support to Costello, making the triple threat one on one. On the countdown show, Tedd P Dinero also represented RWT when he defeated Evolution's Chris Maldonado.
