Podcast Promo Takeover was a series of specials produced by Max Wrestling Podcast between May and November 2015.

These were ensemble events which featured a large number of guests, and all participants in the episodes cut a promo.

Podcast Promo Takeover

The first event was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously with regular The Phoenix. This episode featured the first promo cut by Dazzy.

​

The premise for the special was actually suggested to Dazzy by The B****** - who intended to appear on the episode, but was unable to contribute.

Podcast Promo Takeover 2

​

The second event was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously with regular The Phoenix. This was the first episode to be featured on VOC Nation.

​

The B****** looked to make up for being unable to appear at the first special, but was again forced to miss the show. Kourtney Broughton provided one of the show's most memorable promos, which is often referred to, consisting simply of: "Bellas, you're going to f***ing die. *mic drop*."

Podcast Promo Takeover 3

The third event was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously with regulars The Phoenix. As announced on this episode, Evan "Money" Makeba became a regular the following week, coining "Team Blood Red Money."

The B****** finally made it to this episode, introducing his once-trademark mask and distorted voice for promos.

Podcast Promo Takeover IV

​

The final event under the Podcast Promo Takeover banner was hosted by Dazzy Dangerously with regulars The Phoenix and Evan "Money" Makeba.

​

The final of the Podcast Promo Championship Tournament took place on this episode, with The B****** defeating The Phoenix following Kinny Killa's elimination. An angle was run in the weeks prior to this event, where The Phoenix embezzled with the voting system - leading to James Belmont being suspended from the show. Belmont made a return to the show prior to the final, following Dazzy's appearance on Belmont's Off Shoot Radio, promising to inspect the voting and thereby discovering The Phoenix's "treachery." Only Dazzy, The Phoenix and James Belmont were privy to this angle.
