Podcast Promo Rumble was the first special to be given its own name following the 2015 run of "Takeover" specials.
Special episodes of the Max Wrestling Podcast are produced every 2-3 months and
feature specials graphics and a unique opening video, they are treated like
Pay-Per-Views in wrestling. Since 2016, the Knowledge Championship has been
defended on these episodes, featuring several rounds of trivia.
Four specials ran through 2015 under the Podcast Promo Takeover title, originally an
ensemble special where everyone cut a promo. In 2016, five annual specials began
airing, each with their own chronological event title, becoming trivia specials. At Promo
Series 3: Lethal Games, the Max Wrestling Promo Championship was rebooted and
defended at each special. The events now run as follows:
