Trivia Takeover is the annual Max Wrestling Podcast special which takes place in June, originally during the week of co-founder The Phoenix's birthday, now on the weekend of WWE pay-per-view Money In The Bank.

The Knowledge Championship made its debut at Trivia Takeover in 2016, with Kinny Killa becoming the inaugural Champion. As a result, Trivia Takeover marks the anniversary of the Championship each year. Trivia Takeover also became the second Max Wrestling special to receive a sub-title each year, beginning with 2018's Trivia Takeover 3.0: Pick Your Poison, and also introduced a new format exclusively for Trivia Takeover where a variety of classic types of Max Wrestling trivia return for one night only.

In 2019, Trivia Takeover 4.0: Curse Of Champions became the host for the final of the first ever King Of The Mic tournament. The tournament was moved to begin

after Trivia Takeover the following year.

In 2020, the Champion's Chase match was introduced where four challengers team up in effort to take on the Knowledge Champion.
