PromoSlam 2020 was the twenty-eighth Max Wrestling Podcast special, and fifth under the PromoSlam chronology, it was also the 284th episode of Max Wrestling Podcast. The event was hosted by "The Captain" Dazzy Dangerously and featured regulars Mike Larkin, Moses Marquez and Travis Anderson plus special guests including Daniel Crimmins, The Demoness, Kinny Killa, The Phoenix and promos from Brittney Savage and Rob Chef

This was the first Max Wrestling special since a major change in direction in June 2020, known as "The Shift". Both the Promo Championship and Knowledge Championship were defended, as well as the Predictions Championship for the weekend's SummerSlam. There were also two promo exhibitions between Brittney Savage and Rob Chef, and The Shape battles Travis "The Walker" Anderson following his challenge at the end of the promo exhibition with The Demoness in May. Daniel Crimmins and Mike Larkin also engaged in a promo exhibition on the Pre-Launch Show.
